AACA works with other community arts groups to help develop their programs and increase their audiences. Recent examples include the creation of the Athens Area Children’s Choir under the direction of Kay Simmons. AACA helped jump start the group by obtaining grant funding for start-up expenses and nurturing it through its first year. Now in its 4th year, the Athens Area Children’s Choir is a thriving group with its own Board of Directors.

In 1998, AACA helped to create the Unity Gospel Community Choir - an organization which continues to perform today throughout the area and represents a wide cross-section of local gospel singers.
